MARY STUBBERFIELD
"Travel has always fuelled my work. The exotic and rich textures of India inspired several exhibitions. Later, living on a Greek Island, I painted and exhibited my work in local gallery spaces. Recent visits to the cote d'Azur have produced some colourful townscapes capturing the vibrant sunlight. I love the strong colours and sunlight of the Mediterranean and this continues to be a great influence in my work. I especially love painting animals. I have always loved cats and have developed a style capturing their quirky characters. I was commissioned to paint Ed Sheeran's kittens recently and by several other clients. "
