"I have been painting as far back as I can remember. My father was a draughtsman and I always had the means and encouragement to draw and paint but it was never a career I considered as a child. I went to St Andrews University where I graduated in Modern and Mediaeval History, though my art followed me there. Even in Sierra Leone I could not stop painting and nearly landed my husband in gaol! But I suppose the greatest influence on me was the joy of living on the shores of Loch Lomond where I was inspired to capture the amazing scenery. My paintings began to sell and I was encouraged to exhibit in local and national galleries."
