"My artworks have no destination nor do they have an end. They are only limited by the time I have been given in the gallery or space. The investigations of strengths and the fragility of a human body and mind that I make during the art pieces are usually based on the labour involved throughout. Walking up and down the staircase for six hours for example or gluing rice grains to the wall for seven hours for seven continuous days. The journey that never ends like an infinite loop cannot be finalised by some sort of conclusion. The paradox between strength and fragility of a woman's body cannot be measured.I love to believe that my presence represents every person that has been part of the piece. The participation of the person changes the energy of the performance, so inevitably this person becomes a part of the piece the same as I do. These performances would not have existed without the audience or me. It is an inextricable relationship. Often the starting point of one of my pieces is personal - my life, my partner and my children with all the love, happiness, fears and hate that these bring, inspiring me to create.
